well, not even really news.
here's an article that goes over the different new isolation levels in sql 2005. if you don't understand these concretely, the figures presented in this document give a very good explanation of how things work. if you are having a hard time, just print them out and look at them side by side, that'll make it easier to get your head around.
there are a host of other good tidbits if you aren't familiar with the changes that took place from 2000 to 2005 so if you need to review or newly learn that stuff, check out the rest of that article.
